Now, here's the kicker, folks! Imagine this: Kevin Bruerton isn't just your average artist from LA; he's a five-time kickboxing champ! His paintings? They're like an explosion of emotions and colors, real action-packed stuff, also known as gesture painting.
Here's Kevin's take on his artwork: "Boundaries are everywhere. They remind us of limits and how we gotta push through 'em. Art? It smashes those boundaries and breaks the rules. That's its essence. Every stroke's a reaction to the last one. In kickboxing, boundaries matter: we set 'em to win and expand our territory. With this series, I'm exploring shape and color, creating this vibe of endless possibilities. I've used actual canvases from boxing rings where fighters, including big names like Floyd Mayweather, duked it out. Those worn-out canvases add a realness to the pieces"

Downtempo music was born in the early 1990s, almost like a deep breath in the middle of the fast-paced, high-energy electronic scene. Rooted in the UK, this genre began blending ambient sounds, jazz, and chillout vibes to create something truly unique—a relaxed, atmospheric groove that you could lose yourself in. Visionaries like Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation were at the forefront, layering rich textures, slow beats, and soulful melodies to craft music that felt like an escape from the noise. Over the years, downtempo has continued to evolve, branching out into new subgenres but always staying true to its essence—a soundtrack for relaxation, reflection, and just letting go.

At the heart of every musical masterpiece lies a delicate balance, much like the harmony of the four elements. Our project "Harmony" draws inspiration from these elemental forces to create a symphony that resonates with the soul. Earth grounds the rhythm with steady beats, providing stability and purpose. Air lifts the melody, bringing renewal and creative expression. Fire ignites the music with passion and intensity, driving emotional impact. Water nurtures with soothing harmonies, allowing the music to ebb and flow. Together, these elements create a musical experience that transcends the ordinary. We invite listeners to connect deeply with the universe, each other, and the essence of life.

House music got its start in the late 1970s and early 1980s in Chicago's underground club scene, where DJs were experimenting with new ways to make people move. It was a time when disco was fading, but its groove lived on in these small, sweaty clubs. DJs like Frankie Knuckles took those disco beats, stripped them down, and added a hypnotic pulse that just begged you to dance. House music quickly spread, becoming the heartbeat of dance floors around the world. With its deep basslines, soulful vocals, and infectious rhythm, house music didn’t just create a sound—it sparked a movement. Decades later, it’s still evolving, still filling dance floors, and still making us feel alive.
